On the last evening before her departure, Vera puts her little sister to bed. To hide the real reason for her leaving, she tells her a bedtime fairy tale instead. In a gentle voice, she relates an apocalyptic story about an endless night that has descended upon the world, and to which everyone must adapt as best they can.
