Il Senso della Terra

Inspired by the identification of unnamed migrants who lost their lives in the Mediterranean Sea, the film explores the subject of migration by sea from an intimate, poetic, and deeply human perspective. The story follows a doctor who, during the autopsy of a young migrant who died in the Mediterranean, discovers a small plastic bag containing a mysterious substance. From that moment on, she symbolically follows the young man’s fate and shares in his fears, hopes, and suffering.
