In Panama, 12-year-old Clara goes fishing for “mahi-mahi“ dolphinfish with her father. As they venture further from the shore, the unease he stirs in her grows increasingly oppressive. The film shall explore the helplessness of experiencing violence, returning not to the moment it erupts, but to the way it gradually takes shape: insidious, wild, almost animal. And yet, for a few moments, it can even feel pleasant. Like a day of fishing.
