A film that is like a love letter to the magic of cinema. At the same time, it is a wild story about the post-reunification chaos of East Berlin and about a friendship between a group of young people who are obsessed with their craft. In the 1990s, five guys from East Berlin discover their passion for American action films. They start shooting their own seven-part action short film series, AMERICAN SHOWDOWN, in kamikaze style, without filming permits. Years later, now grown up, they get back together to revive their dream. They start to make the eighth installment of the action series, just like in the old days: with a small budget and a lot of passion. But their ambitions and expectations have grown, and filmmaking becomes a severe test of their friendship.
