Chris travels the world with no money – not to test limits, but out of a deep trust in life itself. On his journeys from Roetgen in the Eifel region to Jerusalem, through India and Japan, he is looking for connections, not possessions, and questions the conventions of work, religion and identity.
After his death from cancer in 2021, one final question remained for me, as his friend and a filmmaker: how was he able to live so effortlessly in harmony with the world, regardless of the circumstances?
The film is a quiet exploration, a journey to a man who let go when others held on tight – and it invites us to rethink our relationship to control, ego and trust.
