Ms. Hu lives in ShiBaTi, a slum surrounded by modern commercial districts. She makes a living by running a cheap inn and collects garbage which she uses to create a garden that looks like a preposterous fairy tale world. She works hard but has nothing.” With her unique optimism and surreal imagination, she has built a bizarre paradise crafted as an escape from harsh reality. But as modern business continues to expand, her home is threatened with demolition.
